One more thing for your shop first-aid kit:

For me, about 80 or 90% of the bleeding cuts I get are on my fingers. This little thing is a silicone strip with a hole in it. When blood starts pouring out of your finger, you pull this thing onto your finger and the blood completely stops in less than a second. Now it's much easier to stop what you're doing, get out your first aid kit, clean the wound, and dress it appropriately, all without blood getting all over the place. There are two holes for different size fingers.

Just put it in your shop, someplace in easy reach.

Great and timely newsletter as I actually was contemplating how to sharpen my heirloom nail clippers. Thanks for saving me a rabbit hole search for information on “how to”! I really enjoy your suggestions and appreciate your hard work compiling the newsletter.

Go Gar! Thanks again for introducing me to more visionaries (like you in my eyes)! People who shamelessly disregard the artificial and arbitrary boundaries around so-called disciplines like arts, crafts, science, and engineering. Interests don’t fall so neatly and grow best without fences. ;)
